Keep Your Duman Home Essentials Looking & Feeling Their Best

Thoughtfully made pieces deserve thoughtful care. Follow these simple care tips to help your Duman Home essentials last longer, stay softer, and age beautifully: 

  • Avoid products containing bleach, benzoyl peroxide, alpha hydroxy acids, or chlorine, which can cause discoloration and fiber damage.
    (These may include skincare, acne treatments, hair products, cosmetics, toothpaste, and household cleaners.)
  • For stain removal, use a gentle oxygen-based cleaner instead of bleach.
  • Do not use fabric softeners or dryer sheets — they coat fibers and reduce performance.
  • Wash similar items together (same color and fabric).
  • Avoid washing with clothing that has zippers, hooks, or hardware, which can cause abrasion.

Bedding

Includes: sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers

  • Machine wash cold with similar colors.
  • Use a gentle cycle and mild, liquid detergent.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Tumble dry low.
  • Remove promptly to reduce wrinkles.
  • Iron on low heat if desired.

We recommend: wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets.

Comforters & Pillows

Down & Down-Alternative Care

  • The easiest way to care for comforters and pillows is professional green dry cleaning.
  • If washing at home:
  • Use a large-capacity, front-loading machine only.
  • Wash cold on a gentle cycle.
  • Use minimal, mild detergent.
  • Tumble dry low with wool dryer balls to help maintain loft.
  • Ensure items are completely dry before use or storage.

Avoid:

  • Top-loading or small washing machines
  • Excess detergent
  • High heat

Bath

Towels

  • Wash before first use to improve absorbency.
  • Machine wash cold or warm with similar colors.
  • Use mild, liquid detergent.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Tumble dry low.
  • Shake towels before drying to keep fibers fluffy.
  • Remove promptly.

Tip: Fabric softeners reduce absorbency, we recommend skipping them for best performance.

Candles & Diffusers

Candle Care

  • Trim wick to ¼ inch before each burn.
  • Allow wax to melt evenly across the surface on the first burn.
  • Burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time.
  • Place on a heat-safe surface away from drafts.

Diffuser Care

  • Place on a stable surface away from direct sunlight.
  • Rotate reeds every few days to refresh the scent.
  • Do not add water or other liquids.

Never leave candles unattended.
